Course Description

This course will provide construction and workplace safety concepts. Supported by safety statistics, discussions will review the importance of safety and clarify the myths about the need for safe practices at work and at home.

Why You Should Attend

You will be introduced to most of the mainstream personal protective equipment (PPE) and its proper use. The importance of workplace environmental safety and health — namely, indoor air quality — will be covered, with emphasis on HVAC systems and mold issues, as pertinent to residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

The latter part of this course will deal with one of the most significant hazards in almost any environment — fire. You will be introduced to fire classifications and associated fire extinguishers; and hazards of arc flash (NFPA 70E) and lockout tag-out best practices will also be covered.

See specific content information below in the "Attend and you Will Learn" section.
