Course Description

Renewable energy continues to grow and has become an accepted generation source. In order to maximize the value of renewable energy and provide additional benefits, energy storage has become a viable part of these systems, including applications such as microgrids.

This course will provide an introduction to energy storage, including:

  • Battery energy storage
  • Pumped hydro 
  • Compressed air energy storage 
  • Super capacitors
  • Fuel cells
